With over 20 years of experience and a major in Neurology in her Post Graduation, Dr Anshu Bhalla Meena had started First Steps with a vision that no child should be deprived of the chance to receive the highest quality of evidence-based therapy care, and no parents should have to feel helpless when it comes to their child’s independence.

Team First Steps utilizes a sensory based approach to help improve your child’s participation in the home, school, and community. Our therapists are experts in helping children with sensory processing disorder, developmental delay, autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, ADHD, feeding disorders, traumatic brain injury, and other genetic or musculoskeletal disorders.

In addition, our team has had extensive training in Sequential Oral Sensory Approach to Feeding, Oral Motor, Reflex Integration, Therapeutic Listening, Rhythmic Movement Training, Emotional regulation programs, Handwriting Without Tears, and Visual Deficits. Our therapists know play is the primary occupation for your child, and so, we strive to make therapy fun.

We take pride in helping children overcome their obstacles and reach their full potential, and we look forward to partnering with you on your child's journey towards success.

Our Mission

At First Steps Child Development and Neuro Rehabilitation Centre, we are committed to provide the highest level of care, and to create a supportive, nurturing environment for children with special needs to flourish. Our mission is to provide comprehensive Child & Adolescent rehabilitation Services to children with special needs, ensuring they have the opportunity to excel and reach their full potential.

We have a passion of helping children with special needs to gain confidence and autonomy through physical, occupational, academic and speech- language therapies.

We understand that every child is unique, and we take a personalized approach to each patient’s care. Our team works closely with families and other healthcare professionals to create a treatment plan that is tailored to the individual needs of the child.

Team First Steps will guide you and you will see changes as your child begins to try new things, respond differently, eat new foods, or learn a new skill. Our staff considers our relationship with you and your child as the most important part of therapy.
